Big Cat Pepper in Brooklyn
My pal Allyson spotted this: Big Cat Pepper, on a ramble in a forest of books. Maybe Pepper was wandering back to Lauren Castillo's Brooklyn drawing board where he sprung to life.
Pepper has been getting some nice blog love, as Lauren noted on her blog.

Nice reviews and well deserved! I remember how deceptively easy the first draft of this book came and how incredibly hard you worked, revising, and revising, and revising, and then tweaking some more to get it just right. And Lauren's illustrations are perfect; warm, comforting, and lyrical with just the right sweetness.
